Enjoy 3 days in the most visited national park in Uganda. The park was named after the late Queen Elizabeth of England after she had visited Uganda in 1954. A 3 days stay in the Southern side of the park will have you search for the tree climbing lions in the acacia trees scattered all over the park and also enjoy buffet meals in the midst of the park as the sun rises and sets, very enticing. Connect with your scheduled domestic flight from Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National park. Meet your safari guide and transfer to Ishasha Wilderness Camp in Queen Elizabeth National park. Queen Elizabeth National park that has been in existence since 1952 and was initially called Kazinga channel national park but the name was later changed to Queen Elizabeth National Park after a visit by Queen Elizabeth ii of England. Queen Elizabeth spreads over 1978 square kilometers in the western arm of the rift valley.
The home to the big five including tree climbing lions in the ishasha sector, buffalo, elephant, hippo and leopard is the most visited park of all Uganda national parks, its rich eco system with diversity of flora and fauna from the savannah grassland, humid forests, lakes, wetlands has made it an ideal habitat for so many wild life including mammals, reptiles, primates and over 600 bird species
The park offers sighting to some of the most famous physical features in Uganda like the kazinga channel which joins Lake Edward and George with its banks lined with elephants, hippos, buffaloes and different bird species, sight of Mountain Rwenzori steep escarpments, numerous crater lakes flooded with flamingos, maramagambo forest one of the largest surviving natural forest.
Once at the Queen Elizabeth National park gate, proceed to Ishasha Wilderness Camp located in the South of Queen Elizabeth National Park in the Ishasha Sector famous for the tree climbing lions along Ntungwe River, a very tranquil place in the middle of the jungle. The drive is approximately 1hour from the gate to the lodge. Enjoy an enroute game drive to Ishasha wilderness camp.
Ishasha Wilderness camp is made of 10 canvas tents that offer a luxury stay and are well facilitated with a large bed, a draping mosquito net, a deposit safety box, a reading table, an ensuite shower with 24hours of running water though for the hot water you have to request for the bush shower.
The camp offers free Wi-Fi, an open bar, parking space and security- you need not to worry about your safety as the guards will pick you up from your room and back and brief you about the escape technics in case you encounter any animal enroute.

Embark on a morning game drive through the savannah wilderness in your safari vehicle searching for the diversity of wildlife in Queen Elizabeth National park including buffalo, elephants, and Uganda kobs and of course the famous tree climbing lions who are normally sighted lazying on the branches of fig trees especially in the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After the morning game drive, enjoy a wild breakfast while in the jungle in a secluded spot, a fine dining experience is set up for you with different snacks and drinks laid out on the table with a personal chef at your service for any hot meal you could need.
Head back to the lodge for a refreshment before driving out for the game drive in the afternoon through the African wilderness, the game drive will be concluded with a sundowner experience, a mini buffet is arranged inside the park with different hot and cold drinks and snacks prepared. The sundowner gives you a chance of beautiful sightings of the sun setting and also the different animals as they ascend to their homes for the night and the nocturnal animals begin to come out of their hide outs.
